On behalf of the Buenos Aires Society of Internal Medicine, SMIBA, it is a great pleasure for me to announce that the 29th WORLD CONGRESS OF INTERNAL MEDICINE will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 2008.

SMIBA was created in 1919 as a proposal of the Argentine Medical Association, and has been leaded ever since by the most prestigious physicians of Argentina. Since the beginning its main mission has been to be a bridge between physicians and the last developments of the medical specialties. SMIBA has 2000 physicians, one of the largest medical association enrollments in action.
